The Victorian Fishwife
This late 19th century costume depicts a young fishwife working on the Norfolk coast. Brought up in the fishing community her long stained clothing tells the story of her everyday life. This costume comprises of a broken down apron and bodice with cotton skirt and wool petticoat.
